Another slow day to preface what will probably be a slow week. At some point I do have to prepare my home for renters from Maine who are coming to the mountain for Parents' Weekend. Usually I go out of town, but will be staying in a fabulous bluff home in the area for some friends who are going to *The Beach* and have asked me to take care of their dog. When I lived in Laguna, I knew what going to the beach meant. I'm not quite so sure I know what it means here.

My good friend Amy popped in to say *howdy* so I cajoled her into posing with me in my living room. We both have bad eyesight so squealed with delight at the perfect photo we'd taken. It was as the taillights of her car dimmed into the dark night that I put my glasses back on and discovered her eyes were closed in the photo. Oops. We'll have to do this again another time, but for the record, here we are:
