Catching my Breath

Yesterday I drove down the mountain to pick up a spanking brand new cutting edge POC (portable oxygen concentrator), which will enable travel to become much easier.

On the way home a song on the radio filled my heart with incredible inspiration and hope and gratitude. The song was Kelly Clarkson's Catch my Breath. Wikipedia calls it an electropop dance song with pop rock arrangements. Whatever. I really liked the lyrics.

It's considered a song about strength and empowerment... and that's what I heard and latched onto and loved. So, I came home and went through hundreds of photos and came up with a slideshow. It's intended to be a happy retrospective with engendered hope and positivity for my future. I still have a lot of living left in me!

There are so many people *missing* from this slideshow - I need to take more photos! You all are so important to me. xo

Some of these emotions roiled this week because the folks at Vanderbilt Pulmonary Clinic are starting to talk turkey about my lungs... that I should be evaluated for a double-lung transplant.

Don't panic!

Being evaluated doesn't mean I'll be listed. It means I have the luxury of time to see if anything else is awry with my body - anything that can be tweaked to insure my listing eligibility. I hope that made sense.

Catch my Breath - The Chorus:

Catching my breath, letting it go,
Turning my cheek for the sake of the show
Now that you know, this is my life,
I won't be told what's supposed to be right

Catch my breath, no one can hold me back,
I ain't got time for that
Catch my breath, won't let them get me down,
It's all so simple now
