Greetings From My New Laptop

Hullo all. I am writing this on my new (well, new to me) laptop. It's a Sony VAIO with a 15" screen, 6.4 gig hard drive, and 192 megs of RAM; these, coincidentally, are the specifications for my PC. But the laptop has a Pentium III 450 MHz processor, while my PC is only a PII 350. So there's a little more speed. My friend and writing group buddy, Barry Hales, sold it to me since he wanted to get a new laptop, a Mac G4, I believe.

Finally, I'll be able to do some writing outside the confines of my apartment. If I'd wanted to do this before, I would have to tote a notebook and pencil, and do it all longhand. I simply can't do this anymore. So now I'll be able to bring along the laptop to coffeehouses or wherever, and type. Yay!

Let's see, in writing news... I got "One Big Crunch" back from Horrorfind.com, and sent it out to Nemonymous, a magazine that publishes fiction anonymously, releasing the names of the authors in the next issue. And I got "Shiny Diner Blues" back from Lady Churchill's Rosebud Wristlet, but with a personal reply that actually explained why he didn't take it! This is a very rare and special thing.

If you're interested in seeing something mysterious, take a look at what I've been cooking up lately. The mystery will be revealed after Christmas.

Have a good holiday, everybody.
