This morning I emailed another story out to an annual journal, and I'll be getting "Solipsist's Lament" ready to send out tomorrow to The Magazine of Speculative Poetry. Wow, this is the first time I'll have twelve pieces of fiction out for consideration at once. Yay!

Saw Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets last night and was blown away. It takes everything good about the first movie and ramps it up another ten times. There's really no backstory; you get plunged into the movie right from the beginning. And holy crap, the Quidditch match was so smooth that you almost believe that people can fly.

I heard that Chris Columbus won't be directing the next movie, and since Richard Harris died, they're going to have to cast someone else as Dumbledore. It's going to be weird. I desperately hope that they don't go the route of the Batman movies, where the first two were directed by Tim Burton and were masterpieces, then the next couple were just crap. They've got such an immense fan base with Harry Potter, and I hope they don't cock it up.

Today's another Lazy Sunday, a gorgeous sunny and cold Autumn day. It's one of those days that makes me happy to be alive. If only Janet were here, I'd be the happiest guy in the world.
