Not much happening lately. I got "One Less" back from Strange Horizons, who said that the plot was artificial and contrived. It probably would have been kinder if they had jammed an icepick into my eye. So, I'll wait until January and send it off to Polyphony 3, which will be open for general submissions. Hopefully, Jay Lake will like it better.

I went shopping with my parents for most of the afternoon last Saturday at the new Triangle Town Center mall in north Raleigh. It's a nice place, not ten minutes from my old house. They have some machine outside that drifts snowflakes down onto your heads.

We had our second Cup-a-Prose meeting on Sunday (which I showed up at the correct place this time), and I got some good comments on "Great Big Hassle". There are a few stories I want to get on next, and I need to get myself back in the rhythm of writing for at least an hour every night.

Today is Human Rights Day, and Janet told me she spent her day fighting for her right to party. Man, I love her.
