Required Explanations

Sometimes I wish life were more like a boardgame.

I mean, boardgames can be so cool. Particularly the games where you collect things along the way--cards in some games--that you get to keep that allow you to, A)break the rules in some way; b)ignore the rules in some way or c)change the rules in some way. You know, like "Get out of jail free!"

I, for one, would like to see a card titled, "No Becauses!" That's right! When you find yourself in a position in life that just simply isn't fair in some way, you can break out your "No Becauses," card, whip it on the offending player (human) and they would have to produce a logical explanation for why the situation in question exists!

Here are some great times to play this card, from a stategy point-of-view:

When you want to know why it is that you do three times the work of your supervisor, yet get half the pay and chastised if you're on the web for five minutes.

When you want to know why you should believe in an old book, codified by a King for political purposes, and used by politicians forever after as a method of controlling the masses.

When you want to know exactly what is a "Top Secret weather balloon."

Sigh.

Back to the real world.

Your turn.
