It's Day #4 of my Week Off. Or Day 6 if I count the weekends, which I don't, but I mention for completeness only.

Here are just some thoughts I've had lately:
  • I've said all along that althought Hillary Clinton is a very bright woman and that she's definitely qualified to be President, but that there was something I just didn't like about her. Now I know. She's untrustworthy. But more than that. When caught in a lie, she doesn't even come clean. How can someone as intelligent as she is (and I believe she's very intelligent) be ~confused~ about whether or not she was met with gunfire or a seven year old girl scout with a balloon? Either she's really naive, or she thinks Americnas are.

  • Regarding the Bear Streans disaster. When is management ever going to be held accountable for not only causing the disaster by their ineptness (or corruptness), but their unwillingness to come clean? Once again, it's the "little guy" who really loses.

  • Why will people who drive SUVs ride right up on the bumper of the car in front of them when they're going the speed limit (30-40mph), and then when the car in front of them applies the breaks, they slow down and stay behind four or five car lenghts?

  • We've come full circle with reality TV. They started reality TV so regular people can be on TV shows rather than spoiled, overpaid actors. And then they decide to let celebrities be on reality TV. So now the celebrities get a pass on not having to act. I can't even watch TV anymore. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing.

  • I really like not having to go to work. It's nice having a day in front of me -- hours in which to get things done. Rather than being stressed because I can't get them all done. I played my guitar for over an hour yesterday, which is easliy the longest stretch of time I've played since I started learning to play.

  • B chords hurt!

  • Why do cats bat toy mice under the same hall tree, and then sit there and meow because they can't get them, and then when you take it out for them, they just bat it under there again?

  • For those who don't know, and I didn't, a hall tree is a piece of furniture that sits in the entry way of the house. It has a flat surface, a cabinet, a mirror, and hooks to hang jackets or hats on.
