With spring bustin out in all it's glory, one's thoughts turn to the yard and landscaping. With the grass mowed, trees and shrubs trimmed, I'm thinking about new plantings. But what could I plant that would stand out. Thinking, thinking.....smell something burning?

I think I have figured out what the one thing I want to plant. It will be my legacy to southeast pennsylvania. A Sequoia sempervirens. Better known as a California redwood. Wouldn't that be something. A lone 300 ft. tree spiring above everything else. A 100 years from now it would be a landmark. People would come from all over to see the "Jamtart Tree". My place in history would be set. Until they wanted to put in that new freeway, anyhow.

Oh well, so much for that fantasy.
