Well Groundhog's Day is coming up and even after all the years of hearing about it I am still a little perplexed as to the whole routine. It seems to me that they got it backwards. I mean, if he were to see his shadow wouldn't that mean the sun was shining. If the sun was shining, it would be getting warmer and isn't warmer associated with spring? If he doesn't see his shadow that means it is overcast and gloomy; probably snowing? Snow means cold and cold means winter?
It's just so messed up that I just can't put much stock in it. Now I might buy it that spring was here if and when he pops out of his little hole in the ground wearing sunglasses and speedos. ;)
