As you may have heard, Target banned the Salvation Army from having their bell ringers collecting money outside all Target stores. "The retailer says it has decided to force the charity to abide by a ban on solicitation at Target stores."

So isn't asking people to sign a petition to pass a law requiring girls to tell their parents before they get an abortion considered solicitation? I was shopping this evening and passed a booth outside the store with several people asking for signatures on a petition. Lucky for them, they didn't ask me to sign, but as I left I saw them accosting a woman with a young daughter (about 3 years old). The woman had refused to sign and the other woman said indignantly "But right now, they don't have to tell their parents!" I thought to myself "And that's a bad thing?!"
