This should be way bigger news than it is, I think. I only heard about it because I walked past a stand selling local newspapers this morning. When I looked for a story online about it, it took awhile to find.

Is California really just the Governator's signature away from allowing same-sex marriage? Even if he vetos it (as his spokesperson seems to indicate he will), I think it's a huge step in the right direction. It still makes California the first state with a Legislature willing to pass it.
