This is one of the silliest things I've heard in a long time. How about instead of banning cheese commercials, we start with eliminating McDonalds as a sponsor of Sesame Street. Chuck E. Cheese as a big sponsor on Nick Jr. Trix commercials, and other junk food commercials.

Cheese may have a good percentage of fat, but it also has protein, calcium, etc. And I don't know about you, but I'd rather have my kids asking for cheese (it's one of their favorites!) than McDonalds Happy Meals! I don't recall seeing all that many cheese commercials anyway...

Who knew? :P
