Sunny SoCal's living up to its name today. Here in the great San Fernando valley it's literally almost 100 degrees F. outside. I guess that makes up for a longer-than-usual rainy season through the spring. I liked that rain, but hate this heat. I fervently hope it subsides.

Hey, did you hear about the hotel that provides companions for your room? Not *those* kind... get your mind out of the gutter and into the fishbowl and read the second paragraph.

We'll be out of town for Memorial Day -- we're going to visit friends up north in Clovis, the ones that are cops. We'll probably join them for another ride-along, but otherwise hang out, play games, swim in their new pool, and have a weekend out of town.
