While driving to a meeting yestereve, Shelley had the rather unpleasant experience of having a front wheel tie bolt fail as she slowed for a yellow light. She managed to coast to a stop on the other side of the intersection, but then had to call the towing service for help.

Apparently tie bolt failures don't happen often. Ours happened under circumstances that could not have been much better, and most definitely could have been worse, like driving on the freeway or up in the mountains where we plan to be at the end of the month.

So we have an Enterprise rental car for the day while the garage repairs our buggy. Thankfully the expense won't drain the bank account and no one got hurt in the incident. The staff at Enterprise have been most courteous and timely with their morning pick-up at our house, which always helps in situations like this.

This all happened after Shelley had a really frustrating day at work, and a new bug in Flattops caused me a rather annoying unproductive three hours last night, but that seems to be under control now, but tonight should determine that for certain (the game can get out of synch when players advance their turn in the new multi-player system).

But the good news is that thanks to Jennise she could make the meeting and hook up with someone to help her in her American Pilot project. Many thanks to Jenn and Kenny for driving Shelley home last night! And today she found a local place that can order a specific rose that she wants and has been finding it difficult to obtain, so all's well that ends well.
