Earlier today I took about two pounds of nickels and dimes over to the post office and plugged them into the vending machine there. That clink-clink-clunk-clink sound, blinking marquee lights on the top of the machine, and dropping so many coins proved to be almost as much fun as a one-arm bandit on a cruise ship.

Actually, more fun: I won stamps as a result! Woo!


On the way back, I passed a Baskin-Robbins store, and had to check whether they had Grape Ice this month. They didn't and I bought nothing there, but it did remind me that I forgot to tell you about last time at BR.

On the way to Sequoia recently, we stopped for a sub, and got a bit of BR ice cream afterwards. I got this big ol' milkshake instead of a cone. The cool thing about BR, of course, is the flavors of milkshakes available.

Such as bubblegum!

You heard right: bubblegum milkshake!

Big. Pink. Very pink.

And chewy afterwards.

Two desserts in one: shake and gum. What could be sweeter?

Now, if only Grape Ice would come back. It's been toooooooo long.....
