Yesterday it was 104 when I got in the car to drive home. Yeah, I've been driving this week because I didn't want to cycle home in such heat. I don't like it, and I've been in a pleasantly cool climate for the past month, so am not used to it.

Most things are back to normal. Baby's happy and we play for a white each evening before and after dinner. She loves the squirt guns that Mommy bought her, although most of the time she shoots herself rather than her target. But she still laughs loads when that happens.

She loves playing in her pool and with the hose and water in the sand box too, and has taken to filling her watering can and pouring it out wherever it strikes her fancy. She waters the plants, the cracks in the sidewalk, and will often pour water into one of her little dishes, then pour that into Mommy's big watering can.

We watch "horsey beach" most nights before bed, and if not that, we watch The Daily Show with Jon Stewart. Kelley knows and says his name, as you may have seen in the video Shelley made, and whenever there's a break for commercials Kelley demands "more Jon, more Jon."

When she's done playing, I start playing. This past week: much Warcraft fun!
