For our 16th wedding anniversary Shelley and I drank a bottle of Champagne and played Warcraft together for the whole evening. It may not be a typical anniversary celebration, but we did meet in a computer center all those years ago, and it's what we like to do, so why not?!

We almost did not get to play WoW because our wonderful Time-Warner cable service suffered a service interruption for most of the day. Expecting it might continue into the night, I drove to a couple stores trying to find a DVD copy of The Running Man for Shelley's anniversary gift so that we could watch it. (That was our first date movie :-)

No luck finding that locally, but cable came back so all's well that ends well.

We did not have a fancy dinner because we went out for lunch at Outback Steakhouse. This worked out because I had been called in for jury duty and had to go downtown to the courthouse. It turned out to be a short time there because I was selected to be on a potentially long trial starting on Sept. 4th, and was then released for the day. We'll know more about a long jury duty next weekend.

Passing 16 and on to many more, with wedding candle and accoutrements.

The anniversary gift I received illustrates why we've made it so far.
