Our alarm clock woke us up at 3:30 am so we could see the full lunar eclipse in all its eery glowy red glory. We returned to bed at approximately 3:31 am.

Baby's getting bigger, that's for sure. She's probably more fun than ever now that she can communicate better.

Shelley made her birthday cake out of a series of cupcakes.

Presents from her nanas and aunts and uncles included many new clothes and toys. She's now smart and curious enough to know that unwrapping things is fun.

Unfortunately her back-up daycare this week provides only half the nap length she's used to, so today and other days this week leave her cranky early.

However, she did enjoy the cupcakes and loves singing "Happy Birthday" along with us to herself!
