Finally, a day of bike riding without a flat tire! The past couple weeks I've gotten a inordinate number of flats, for a variety of reasons (nails, thorns, sharp-edged stones, broken valves, etc.) One day even had two. I've had more flats in the last two weeks than in the last two years I believe. An ill run of luck. Maybe it's over now.

One day last week, Shelley had to come get me because the tube valve failed. I put in a new tube, then found my hand-pump would not inflate it. I then walked a quarter-mile to a gas station only to find its air pump out of order. I then walked another quarter-mile to another station, and found out that I did not have a converter for the pump there so could not inflate the tire. Sigh.

Daddy's Little Mechanic.

Time for her own bike.
