Had a job interview over the phone with Cornell a week ago today. I'd say it went pretty well. They want someone as soon as possible, and they have two positions for the web developer open, so we'll see what happens.

Earlier this week Shelley found what appears to be a great deal on a piece of real estate near Ithaca. For a mere $159,900 you get a huge old farm house and barn, and 43 acres of land, which includes two trout streams, and some mature maple trees. (craigslist ad)

It seems to be just the thing we're looking for, but when we call up the aerial photos and look at the town property maps, we see that it's rather closer to neighbors than we prefer, doesn't have much forested cover, and the property comes in fairly long irregular shape, which isn't appealing.

Still, it's amazing what you can get for the money compared to this part of the country.

And before I forget, if you like sweet breads, you'll have to ask Shelley for the recipe for Swedish Saffron Bread, which she made three of last week, once we found out how good it was. She made an initial golden fragrant loaf for us, then one for a housewarming, then one for the gaming group.

So yummy!
