No big plans for us this New Year's Eve, in large part because we're off to the Rose Parade at the crap of dawn in the morning. We've procured tickets for reserved seats and parking so we're planning to hit the sack just after we toast the arrival of 2008.

Ever since we moved our games up high to the narrow hallway shelf to get them out of Kelley's reach we've worried about them falling down on top of her, or just on the floor where they'd smash their boxes and scatter components.

So, to kill two metaphorical birds with one imaginary stone, we took Mom for her first visit to Ikea and got ourselves some shelves. (We're gonna miss that place in Ithaca - the nearest is in The City.)

Kelley helps assemble our new game shelves.

Room to spare! The big empty spaces beg to be filled (I'm sure they will be). Those voids certainly make it look like we don't have that many games. Put them back by the fireplace or up on the hallway shelf and it looks like we have far too many. The psychology of space is astounding.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
