lah-ay-zee

Last night, instead of doing so many other things that I should have done or could have done, I watched movies.

First I saw Primer. It was a really interesting movie that kept my brain cells spinning. Next I watched A Slipping-Down Life, which was originally an Anne Tyler novel. I really liked the novel when I was seventeen, but was always a bit bummed with how it ended. I'm a cheery sort of person, in general, and was very happy with the ending change that the writer/director made. Guy Pearce apparently did his own singing, so if you're a Guy Pearce fan, I suggest checking the movie out. Also, Lili Taylor does a great job in this role. Her character's evolution is subtle, believable and effective.

Rice worked until about 4:30 a.m. yesterday. He's so dedicated :). Still waiting for some contract stuff to work out, so keep your fingers crossed.

The baby's sleeping and Avadore is playing outside. It's time to get some writing done.
