Avadore came home from school with his bag full of loot from his teacher, the class aids (I think there's four of them), and even Santa Claus. He got a book, and a notebook and writing implements, and candy, and reindeer food, and a bunch of little exotic animals to play with, and playing cards, and even a movie ticket from his bus driver. I mean good golly.

Why did we buy him presents again? ;)

When I was a kid we might have a Christmas party, but that was it. But then this program is different. They're always giving the kids books and things. But it only makes sense -- these are high risk kids in terms of their success in school. Everyone works hard to help the kids succeed.
