I was reared by folkies, my father in particular.

I grew up on Woody Guthrie, and Arlo, and Pete Seeger and the rest of the Weavers, and Rosalie Sorrels, and Bob Dylan (who pre-1964 is definitely a folky), and, well... I could go on and on and on.

This is the music of my blood. I listen to Pete sing, and there's comfort there. Woody's songs are a backbone for me. And Arlo's "Ukelele Lady" still makes me want to shake and wiggle, just like when I was a toddler.

Today's song is from Pete Seeger, a fabulously amazing man and musician.
