Well, not much to report. I went to hear Madeleine Peyroux at the Michigan Theatre with my friend Cynthia last night, and I am paying for that outing today . . . we (Em and I) didn't get home until after midnight last night.

So today I'm tired, and going pretty much nonstop from one thing to the next. I have to figure out a battle plan for class tomorrow and then I think I'm going to pack it in. But I did want to leave you with this picture of the birds at the feeder outside our kitchen window:

I tell you, they're voracious. We could fill that feeder twice a day and they'd go through the seed. If you look closely you can see a bird in the bush and one on the rocks below the bush. No doubt there was one on the feeder, too, and probably a few on the trellis . . . they dive-bomb each other when the feeder is full, trying to knock each other off the perches so they can have a turn. And then there's a squirrel who sits on the ground eating the leftovers . . . it's all very funny. I tried to take a video but it didn't turn out to stream. Maybe I'll try again on the weekend.

G'night, everybody . . .
