Grr. I just lost a long entry about the acquisition of this wonderful chair:






- at a local sporting-goods store. Over the last month I've managed to refinish my desk in some wonderful colors:






I've been enjoying the desk, and the way that side of the room is taking shape. I had been using a $10 dark, forest green folding chair as a stand-in for the eventual "comfy chair" that will live over there. Just yesterday I had been thinking that, as a temporary measure, I should look for a cheap folding chair in a better color, and voila!

A happy acquisition indeed! And when the real chair arrives, this one can go with me to the pool in the summer.

Now if only finding gloves for bike commuting were so easy . . .
