Well, I finished the Moebius I started last weekend. It was for Kathy; I gave her one for her birthday, but it wasn't the first one she'd seen - and that's what she thought she was getting, and she'd really been looking forward to it. The one she got on her birthday is done in blacks and purples and blues, but the first one I'd knit was done in shades of brown and green. So I knitted her another, out of the yarn she'd originally liked. It was gratifying to give it to her; she did really like it and she also told me that she's been receiving compliments on the other one.

Now that it's off the needles I find I'm thinking about weaving almost continually. I've started to pay attention to fabric; if I see something interesting I look closer to see how it was woven. I'm thinking about texture and color and geometric patterns. (There are two or three fabric shows at various museums in New York during the C's; I hope I get to at least one of them.)

The moment I found out about those looms, I knew this would happen . . .
