I just finished listening to Notre Dame de Paris, and damn, it's good, even though it's the French version and my French isn't really up to snuff. I also need to check out the book one of these days because apparently the version Disney told me isn't correct at all! Go figure.
While I was there, I also bought used copies of Brave New World and Naked Lunch in the nearby used bookshop. All across town were promotional posters for Goa, a horse musical. So now I'm picturing a theatre stage filled with singing and dancing horses. Going back home, I crossed paths with this year's local carnival parade. I only saw a little bit of it, but it looked small and unspectacular. The light rain didn't help matters. But there were plenty of loud, happy children who didn't seem to mind at all. The kids watching the parade were excited because the adults threw candy at them. The kids walking in the parade were even more excited as they got to throw confetti in people's faces. God bless them. Read/Post Comments (2) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
