Yay, I got a beta Gmail account, thanks to the awesome Kenny. The address is mark.gerrits@gmail.com. (Uhm, if any spamming bots are reading this, I guess we'll see how good google's spam filters are)

First impressions:

• The interface looks really clean and easy, no surprise from Google.


• I really like the whole concept of labels instead of folders.


• Can't really comment yet on the threaded conversation thing, don't have enough email yet.


• Everything's just so easy


• Only small critical remark: there's a list of all sent mail and a list of all sent and received mail, but no list of all received mail?

In other news, I visited my grandmother in the hospital today. Good thing I dropped by early cause they were already discharging her, after she had an operation only tuesday. She looked very good though, not like the last time they released her so early and she had to go back because she wasn't recovering. It was her birthday yesterday so I bought her a little candle holder thingy with angels loitering around it. Must suck being in the hospital during your birthday. But I'm sure there'll be a big delayed family dinner after she has recovered a bit.

And in yet other news: writing a thesis is hard.

EDIT: Hmmm, it just occurred to me, doesn't one gigabyte equal 1024 megabytes instead of just 1000? Aha, false advertising! Release the lawyers!
