Anya and I left Drew and Rene's house Friday morning and made our way one hour southbound towards Clarksville, Ohio. We arrived in the early afternoon and were greeted by the everyone who was already at the reunion.

As soon as we got there, off came my sandals so that I could enjoy the nice soft grass and cooler air on my skin. What can I say, I'm a Mother Nature's Son.

There is nothing I love more than getting together with any member of my family, so to have nearly the entire side of my mom's family in one place at one time is a real treasure to me. Second to the feeling of warmth I get when being around my family is the feeling of anticipation I feel as everyone is set to arrive at any moment. I guess it's the mother hen side of me in that I love it when all of my family is coming together, so as is the case with everything in life, the anticipation is 3/4 the fun.

Even though I didn't grow up around any of my Michigan or Ohio Fulmer Family Members, they are really easy to get reacquainted with. It's like we didn't lose a beat from the last reunion and it was great being able to catch up with everyone.

If there are two things we all did a lot of at the reunion, it's talking/laughing and eating. Talking was almost synonymous with any conversation that was going on at the moment, while eating was synonymous with ANY thing that we were doing at the reunion. The Fulmer clan loves to eat. And talk. And eat. And talk. And eat some more.

It rained pretty heavily the first night of the reunion. Anya and I were in a huge tent that was made to fit at least 8 people. So it was pretty vacuumous being in that huge tent with just two people. Although it rained like the dickens, our tent stayed really dry.

Saturday was mostly just a day for me to sit around and catch up with everyone at the reunion. Mix in a little game of tag with the kiddos and a little pass the baby around the room, mixed with a lot of eating and talking, and you have my Saturday in a nutshell.

On Sunday we took our customary picture and spent the rest of the morning saying our farewells to the Fulmer clan. Anya and I departed later that day.
