I am completely psyched about the final Star Wars movie, due out in 2005. Although people were not pleased with the last two Star Wars movies, I think that they will probably be pleased with the next addition. The first two prequels were the set up and exposition, this is going to be the pay off. One thing I like to keep in mind is that this is the movie that George Lucas has always wanted to make. Episode III is the pivot on which both trilogies rely on. It's the big pay off.

I have been avoiding major plot spoilers for the most part. I have been reading spoilers, but for the most part, it's stuff that I already know. And the stuff that I have been reading has been very broad. I don't want to know anything about specific scenes, like specific lines and how certain scenes unfold. But here is some of the stuff that I've been reading:

-The opening space battle scene in terms of scale and scope will be bigger than anything in any of the other movies.

-Episode III is more action oriented while dark and moody.

-Yoda will feature in his own battle scene. I've heard a rumor that his battle will be alongside Wookies against Clone Troopers.

-The Wookies in action is supposedly going to be spectacular. Think the Ewoks scene in ROTJ, only less kiddie and more brutal.

-You will see evidence of both Rebel Alliance Ships and prototypes of TIE Fighters.

-Force Ghosts will be explained.

-The movie is going to have a hard time getting a PG rating as it is right now.

-Anakin will lose some more limbs, along with getting pushed into lava. According to insiders, what happens to Anakin will make it hard for the movie to get a PG rating. He will have some more head scars than what he appears to have in TESB and ROTJ when you see his head.

-The Anakin vs. Obi Wan duel is going to be brutal. According to SW insiders, it will not be a gentlemen's duel at all, but will instead be ferocious.

That's about it for now I guess. May the force be with you. ;-)
