Goodbye Howard Dean

Howard Dean announced recently that after poor showings in nearly every single primary, he has called his campaign quits. He said that he's going to leave his name on the ballots in each of the upcoming primary states so that people can still vote for him if they so choose to do so.

I honestly liked a lot of what he brought to the table. I think that as far as the Democratic candidates are concerned, he stands for a lot more of the issues that I believe in than any other candidate (except Kucinich)

If nothing else, I think that his campaign has toughened the Democratic Party a little bit. Since he's been in the campaign, I've seen the Democrats grow a little braver in their attacks on the Bush administration.

I think that each of the nine candidates has brought different plates to the table, and are ultimately making the Democratic Party a very strong party. Hopefully, it all adds up to an election victory in October.
