John Kerry it is!!! John Kerry is going to be the Democratic Presidential Candidate (as if it was a surprise). The big question mark now is who is running mate is going to be. Although I think it was more of a hypothetical, I read an interesting article that Bill Clinton is being considered as a running mate. Don't think that'll be the case, but it'd certainly be interesting. I think a Kerry/Edwards ticket is pretty strong. John Kerry needs to find himself a good Southern candidate, who can draw in lots of independant voters. I think Edwards would fit the bill in both cases.

It seems like the Dems have finally started to get their asses in gear. We still have a LONG, LONG way to go, but I think that the Democratic Party is at least energized enough to show...a heartbeat...or something resembling a heartbeat. :-)

There's nothing really all that fun going on right now. No new movies coming out that I'm jazzed to see. No new events in the near future that have me pumped up. Have a test in my film class coming up on Thursday...

Went and saw Planned Parenthood, President and CEO, Gloria Feldt speak last night. She was by no means the most energizing speaker I've ever heard, but she knows her stuff inside and out. Of course, there were about 15 or so protesters outside of the auditorium holding poster boards covered with pictures of dead fetuses. Of course, Planned Parenthood is involved in more than just abortion, but that seems to be the one issue that the "Right to Life" movement likes to focus on. But they focus on everything from sexual education, to contraceptives, to family planning, and yes...abortion.

Speaking of, I'm not sure if anyone's aware of this, but I'm going to be attending a march in Washington D.C. at the end of April that will focus on Reproductive Rights. It's going to be a HUGE march, and will probably be attended by thousands upon thousands of people who are involved in the struggle to protect a women's right to choose. I don't want to build it up too much, but I think it's going to be an extremely memorable event. And on top of that, it'll be fun to just tool around D.C. for a few days. AND...I'll get to see the Dana family. YEA!!!

I've had a recent interest in going camping sometime. The spring window of nice weather is so small, that if I don't take advantage of the nice weather when I can, I'll miss my opportunity of "enjoyable" camping. I can camp year round, but camping is certainly not any fun when I'm either sweating all night, or curled up in the fetal position trying to stay warm.

I've always had a fondness for camping. I've been with groups, in pairs, and my myself before. And I don't prefer one way or another. The only thing that I demand is that I be out among the trees. Everything else is just icing on the cake. I'm just as happy being by myself camping as I am being in a group. Good times.

Other than that, I'm just chuggin along. Toot! Toot!
