So they beat the Yankees... BIG DEAL. Call me when they win a World Series. ;-)

I'm obviously joking. Their comeback is one of the all time great stories in all of sport. But they HAVE to win the World Series or it's all for naught. Anything less than a World Series win will totally null and void any miraculous comeback, even if it was agains the much hated New York Yankees.

If this is going to be the year of the BoSox, then I hope that they beat the Cardinals. If the Astros make the World Series, I hope they demolish the Red Sox.

The only latent consequence of a Red Sox victory over anyone, would be that there is a possibility that it may have effects, albeit minor, on helping John Kerry get elected. But we shall see. :-)
