And a Spring Break Round-Up as well!

First, let me start by saying that I am tired in a way that only the dead trully comprehend. I'm talking, don't operate heavy machinery tired. The worst part of taking an extended break is that one's sleep schedule gets thrown more out of wack than an errant pitch by John Rocker. Oh well, playing "Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3" on the Playstation until the wee hours of the morning will do that to a person.

This morning was the first morning where I could tell that warm, borderline hot, days were on the horizon. Can't say I mind all that much. Growing up in Texas has made me immune to temperatures that rival those of Venus.

I'm doing a lot more reading now. Everytime I read something, I ask myself why I don't do more reading. Here's to hoping that I don't let it fall by the wayside again. My goal is to catch up on a lot of books that I've always wanted to read, but have never gotten around to. I'm loving every damned word of "Slaughterhouse Five," or so it goes. The next couple of books on my list are "Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance" (sp?--damn, it's too early to spell--or to look it up), and John Steinbeck's "The Grapes of Wrath." Steinbeck may be my favorite author, so I figured it the right time to finally read his best known book.

"The Lord of the Rings" is on my list, but since when has that book not been on my list. I will read them, oh yes, I will.

I didn't do a whole heckuva lot over Spring Break. A little movie watching here, a little trip to the Dallas Museum of Art there, a lot of laziness everywhere.

I've been to the Dallas Museum of Art twice now, and it wasn't until this second time that I discovered that there was a second story to the damned building. The first time Anya and I went there, I thought that it was a decent museum, but a small one at that. The second levels really open the darn building up. And here I was, thinking that Dallas had a podunk museum of art. That'll teach me...

The Geists are in town, and that brings a smile to my face. I haven't lived in the same city as one of my siblings since Luke lived up in Denton almost two years back. I saw them briefly at a family function last night, but hope to see them more in the coming weeks. It'll be good to catch up with the Oklahoman-Texan-Coloradian-Kansan family.

Ummm...not much else going on at the moment. Anya received notice that she's getting some MAJOR financial assistance from that burnt orange school down south...you know...the *other* school on I-35.
