This is one of those days that drags on and on and on. I have a project due on Thursday that won't be hard, but time consuming. I'm going to get started on it tonight, so that I'm not killing myself tomorrow or Thursday.

My allergies are kickin' like Jackie Chan with no arms, standing on a hot grill. Spring time is a great time, but it's also a drainage time.

I caught a few moments of "The Neverending Story" the other day. I hadn't seen that movie since it came out. The story is a good one (if you're under 10), and has held up...not *really* well, but pretty well.

I was totally shocked at the level of special effects we put up with in the early eighties. There's something almost cute at how bad the effects are in that movie. Most of the time, Falcor's mouth doesn't even come CLOSE to puppetting the words he's saying. But even so, there are some trully fantastic puppets in that movie, such as that huge turtle that sneezes all over Atreu, and that big dude made out of rocks. It's weird, for every great puppet in that movie, they have another one that looks like it belonged at Chucky Cheese's Pizzaria.

I actually think that "The Neverending Story" could be one of those movies that gets remade every so often, for a new generation to find. I wouldn't mind seeing an update, and no, the lame sequels do not count. I have a no Jonathan Brandis rule, unless Chuck Norris is involved.

I have a hard time remembering childhood memories. Maybe that's why I like movies so much. Most of my childhood memories revolve around my parent's split up, so maybe I just latched onto whatever got me through the night. In this case, it was "Back to the Future" and "The Goonies" which I must have watched 30+ times the summer it came out. I don't know. Maybe I'll ask someone who lived in an unbroken household if they remember their childhood. Are we *supposed* to remember our childhood? I mostly just remember flashes of memories. Hmmm...*scratches chin* I bet a psychologist or sociologist could write a fantastic book correlating divorce and interest in movies/television/video games. Maybe they could call it, "Kramer vs. Kramer vs. Marty McFly."

that's all for now. more later.
