So two classes ended on Friday, two more pick back up on Monday.

...

On the upside, I get to take these classes pass/fail, which will help out with all the study time and whatnot. On the downside, the two classes are Shakespeare and Continental European Fiction. YIKES!!!

Saw both "The Fantastic Four" and "Dark Water" this past weekend. Both were underwhelming. Surprisingly though, the parts that I thought were going to be bad in "FF4" were really not all that bad. After seeing the preview, I thought that "the Thing" and "the Human Torch" were going to be lame, but they ended up being pretty cool. The rest of the movie was rather bland.

I've started reading "The Autobiography of Malcolm X" yesterday. It's a really good read. It's confirmed by desire to someday teach a "Sociology Through Literature" course. We could read "Native Son" to learn more about socialization and race relations, "The Scarlet Letter" to learn more about social stigmas, Sociological matters as they pertain to the church, and crime and punishment issues, "Malcolm X" to learn more about race relations, socialization factors, and going against ingrained systems, and other key books. I don't know, but it sounds like a course I'd like to take.

That's all folks. More later.

matt out
