Just got back from "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" and I LOVED it. Tim Burton returned to his "Edward Scissorhands" past and made a masterpiece. Johnny Depp was amazing, the music was amazing, Charlie aka Johnny Highmore knocked it out of the park, and the Oompa Loompa's were top notch. But beyond all of that, the set design was AWESOME.

It's not *quite* as dark as the original. It's indeed dark, but it's dark in completely different ways. It's hard to explain.

I'll write a formal review later, but just wanted everyone who's interested know that it's a really, not good, but GREAT movie.

It's rare that an original and a remake can both be grade-A movies.
