With very little fanfare, Anya and I found ourselves walking through Wal Mart at 12:00 last night looking for the "Star Wars Episode III" dvd. I now own it. My collection is now complete.

I know I said this after I saw the movie in May, but now it's official. The circle was complete in May, but the lock doesn't go on the safe until you own the dvd. Mainly, this is because I think SW is more of a home video phenomenon than a theatrical phenomenon. I know, I know, everyone and their dog saw all six movies in the theaters at one point or another, but the saga really thrived in the home market. From 1983 to 1997 or so, this is the only way the franchise survived. It thrived so well in the home video market that some would say that it's more popular now than it's ever been.

I still hold to my rankings of the movies, but I'd like to add this: "The Empire Strikes Back" is overall the better movie. But the second half of "Revenge of the Sith" is better than any other half of any of the other movies. "Empire" wins out though because of the sometimes weak first half of "Revenge of the Sith."

And there is no doubt about this, "Revenge of the Sith" is by far the most emotional of the six movies.

That's all for now.
