The thing about weekends is that technically, I should enjoy Sundays more than Fridays. But I vastly prefer Fridays to Sundays, even though I spend 8-hours of my Friday at work. I suppose this all has something to do with how we prioritize weekend activities and how we "live in the moment."

If you're able to live in the moment, Sundays are better days than Fridays because you have a nice, long day off to pretty much do whatever you please. But if you're one of those people (moi), who view Sundays as the coming week's prequel, then Sundays are only half-good. For me, Sundays become a bit of a drag right around the time "60-Minutes" airs.

I think this also has something to do with how you prioritize staying up late. If staying up late is your thing, Fridays are better than Sundays.

In some ways, I prefer Fridays to Saturdays. I'm not sure what that's all about, but I think it has something to do with that magical 5 o'clock hour, where all the stresses of the closing work week melt away like Dairy Queen ice cream on hot Texas asphalt.
