An Oasis song just came on my iTunes and it got me thinking about all of that (stupid) mid-90's hoopla when everyone, including Oasis, was saying that they were the next Beatles. Being the huge Beatles freak that I was at that time, I remember asking my dad what he thought about Oasis being called the next Beatles.

His reply: "If they're the next Beatles, how come I haven't heard of them?"

BURN! Point taken. I'm sure that although all four of my grandparents hated that noisy racket coming out of their kids' rooms, they still knew who the Beatles were.
