Its been crazy busy at work so I haven't had a lot of time to update, promise to be back in full-swing starting in February.

But here are some little nuggets:

- "The Dark Knight" getting snubbed at the Oscars is a travesty of epic proportions. To use the common expression of the times, it's a fail. I'm going to post more on this when I have more time, but how does a movie that got a 94% rating from RottenTomatoes AND 531 Million clams in the bank not get nominated for Best Picture? I say this is an Academy Award relevancy fail.

- I'm contemplating not watching the Super Bowl. Well, it's not quite a contemplation so much as it's a not really caring type of thing. I haven't watched a full football game since November and I've enjoyed the break. But this is the Super Bowl and I have been craving some Guacamole and Queso concoction. More on this later...

- I've been rather impressed with the tone Obama's set in his first week in office. We'll see how his programs play out, but I like that he's trying to actually engage the other side. And I love that interview he gave to that Arab television station. He's going above the traditional powers that be and is going directly to the people. Again, we'll see how it plays out, but I love the first step.

Matt
