Wow. Productivity is cool.

Okay, so check out my Mainstream page, now that I've cleaned up that page, along with my other fiction pages. All the links should work, and everything's up to speed. Sometimes I hate being so anal-retentive!

Now I just need to sell some more stories, like my buds Tim and Greg have been doing(!) so I can make some more updates. Tim's becoming a Realms of Fantasy regular, with three sales there, and Greg's making all the cool sales to the hip magazines (and getting a nice mention in the last Locus for "People Stuff"). I am green. With envy, that is. But hey, I've got 20 stories out there, with number 21 going out Monday. There's still some fight left in me, y'see! I'm just damn proud of my writing buds.

And proud of myself and Lizzie, too. We got some really good work done yesterday, hanging out at the neighborhood Borders after she got back from class. She worked some more on her OT presentation, and I nearly finished chapter 16, writing new stuff after some extensive editing. Lots of fun -- this could become a Jasper tradition.

I also added about 500 words to the romance novel. I think I put together almost 3,000 words, in one day! What a difference a change in location, nearly zero distractions (my ancient laptop has only Word on it, nothing else -- no email, no Internet, nothing!), and a good latte can make!!!

So we did our work until about 6 or so, then went to Raleighwood for a reward. We saw "Minority Report," which had some interesting ideas, but was dull as watching hair grow. Tom Cruise is not an actor. In an interesting twist, I may be reviewing the collected stories of Philip K. Dick (who wrote the short story that "Minority Report" is based on) for the local paper.

We also watched "Iris" last night, hoping to watch something good. It was quite an interesting narrative -- the story moved from the past to the present in a fluid way that was probably very similar to what it must be like for people with Alzheimer's (the main character, Iris Murdoch, is a writer with the disease). Fascinating stuff.

And today we're hanging out with the Jasper clan and celebrating some birthdays (happy b-day Beth, 2 days late!!) and just relaxing. Later!

Today's Quote:
Joshua nodded and let Shermie step into the well-lit room. A second later, when nothing happened, he followed him, hoping the others would come after him. Once inside, he was temporarily blinded by a half-dozen white globes pressed to the walls. When he opened his eyes again, he saw an old friend from another world, relaxing on one of five twisted pieces of black metal, and this time he was neither wearing a robe nor covered in bandages.
