Ten jobs, two novels, three stories, and nothing to do...

So anyway, instead of writing this morning, I took a nap after the papers were delivered (I'm still running at least an hour behind the 6 a.m. deadline for delivery, finishing up at 7:30 today, but the truck didn't get there 'til 4, so there). And then I messed with my new and improved freelance resume. It's pretty wild to look at, I know. And some of the jobs on there haven't been confirmed yet, but they're all sort of in-progress, to one extent or the other. That ought to keep me busy.

The "UnWrecked Fiction" stuff is there as a sort of experiment; thanks to fellow writer Eric for the idea. We'll see how it works. Fellow writers -- does this sound like a worthwhile endeavor? Are the rates reasonable? Let me know, using the discussion board or in an email. Thanks!

Got my contracts for The Book of More Flesh in the mail today, and promptly signed them and slapped them into an envelope. Looking forward to getting my galleys of my story. And the check for $160 will come in handy too.

It's nice to get some writing-related mail. It seems that all other editors are giving me the silent treatment, for some reason... You'd think that with 21 subs out there, I'd get more respect!!! ;) And I won't even mention the 3-plus-months-late payment I'm still waiting for from Gothic.Net. I wonder if they even have my address... Sheesh.

Ah well. I guess I'd better get some fiction writing done. Or... maybe I'll just do some reading. I've been at the computer most of the day! Later!

Now Reading:
Polyphony; Lady Churchill's Rosebud Wristlet, #10

Now Playing:
"Old-School Dropouts," "Still Life," Connells
