Inching back into the future...

Hidey-ho, campers! How's everyone doing today? I'm slooowly getting back into the swing of things after a week or two of sleep-deprivation. I still haven't gotten much regularity in my schedule -- getting up daily at 3 a.m. will do that to ya. But I had a 4-hour nap this morning, after the route, so that helped.

I'm finally getting some work done on the Wannoshay novel, at last. I'm going back to the near-future setting of that story, and it's been fun. I got some great comments from Scott a few weeks back that I'm just now getting around to looking at, and his crits are right-on. I've had a ton of help on this novel, and as I sat down and skimmed over the first 2/3 of it, it really shows. The storyline kicks butt. Now I just need to finish it!

I was supposed to finish my SF syllabus for CourseBridge this week, but I just can't seem to get up the energy to type it all up. When I teach I just use an outline and expand on those points as I'm talking, but this is an online class, so I have to write down everything I'd be saying, and for some reason that bores the crap outta me. I just don't know if I'll get around to finish this crazy thing, and it's only for 6 classes! I am slack.

Not much else new 'round here. Just working a lot and not sleeping enough and sort of hanging out in a daze. Really exciting stuff, eh? Later!

Today's Quote:
“We’ve come this far,” Joshua said. He looked at the faces arrayed in the light around him, people he’d not known a week ago. Fear of the unknown was written across their faces, along with varying degrees of excitement. Had they also met some of the people, up-close? Joshua wondered. None of them wore the shell-shocked expressions of first-timers with the Wannoshay. Except Janna, who was too young to know such fears. She simply looked excited, without a trace of fear.

“We can’t stop now, can we?” he whispered.
