Updates 'R' Us

I've been doing some updates today, finishing up the last bits of things from my To-Do list as I get ready to start a new Day Job this coming week. I updated almost all of the excerpts I have on my Mainstream page, adding graphics on each individual page and links to the places where a story was published online.

Tedious crap, of interest only to me, really, but stuff I've been wanting to do for a while. I look at my website as a sort of online portfolio of my fiction projects, so it's good to do a bit of upkeep on it every now and then.

This morning in the email I had a good inspiration to do some housecleaning -- I got an acceptance for my story "The Dissolutionist!" Thomas Deja at Frightful Fiction, the one-story-a-month web fiction arm of Fangoria magazine, is going to run the story in 2004.

Well, tentatively the story will run there. Due to low traffic, the site is in a bit of trouble, so there's still some tentativeness to this acceptance.

My recommendation is for everyone who reads this journal and likes fiction to visit the site a couple times every day and read a story or 2 each time. That oughta drive the hits up, and you get to read a scary story or 2 in the process. Everyone wins! (Including Mike, whose story gets to run...).

Hope everyone is doing well, and don't forget to look up at the stars tonight for a couple minutes and take time to dream. Later.
