Day Eight -- Story Sabotage!

Ugh. A little burned out tonight, after all the revising and craziness with short stories. Fixed up the "Shadow Wolf" story once and maybe for all this morning before work, and just need to give it one more run-through before mailing it off.

I also finished the revision of "Black Angels" for the antho and sent it back to the editor, improved about 100% thanks to his comments. And I just learned that the story made it in! So watch for my tale in Cock-Roach-Suckers, the HWA charity anthology, along with some talented folks like Nick Mamatas, Mark McLaughlin, and some other folks who I can't recall right now and am too lazy to check on to be sure.

And I just got done printing off "The Last Sorcerer" to send off once again, now that I've cut it down to 15k. It was a story submitting sabotage.

I'm much better now, I think.

In the more good news department, I got official confirmation from editor Steve Nagy that my story "Riverrun Alley" will be published this July in the web magazine MarsDust! This is a new, pro magazine that I'm quite happy to be a part of. And getting that story published has got me thinking about the setting of Subaridon again, and wondering if there is a novel in that setting or not. Maybe.

But first there's the Blackbeard novel, the revision of the Wannoshay novel and the Last of the Hand novel, and then... a totally new novel. I don't know what, but I'm gathering ideas sub-consciously, I think. Pulling in snitches and snatches here and there. It's kind of a rush.
