Day 27 -- Just...About...There...

Spent a good chunk of the morning writing everything but the climactic scene of the Blackbeard, which features an army of newly-raised pirate ghosts led by a mad captain, a crashed plane, and a glowing underwater ship. I suck at writing big action scenes.

Ah well, I figured. I'll do it tomorrow!

The end is getting close, though. I wrote the final chapter, and I just have to do the penultimate (love that word) chapter, and maybe go back to revise the first 3-4 chapters, and then I'm done, for now. The plan is to put it away for a month, and then read it again in June and see if it makes any sense at all.

Not much else to report. It's late, I'm tired and the bed is a-calling. See ya!

Today's Quote:
“You didn’t see it, then, did you?” Blackbeard asked, his chesty voice filled with a well-worn sadness.

“I’m sorry?” Ella said. “See what?”

Blackbeard pointed a big finger at the space where his head should have been.

“Oh. No. I’m so sorry.”

“But we’ll keep our eyes open,” Mitch said from the raft next to her. “We promise, right, Ella?”
