Day 28 -- Tired. Very tired...

Well, I'm close enough to finishing this draft that I can almost taste it, or at least smell it, but dude, I'm tired. I'm calling it a night and doing some reading instead. The plan is to get up early tomorrow and finish that pesky penultimate chapter.

Mondays suck. Later!

Now Playing:
"Scarlet's Walk," Tori Amos (still!)

Now Reading:
Writing the Breakout Novel, Donald Maass.
(and a novel excerpt featuring frogs, I think...)

Stories out to Publishers:
17

Today's Words:
84,400

Today's Quote:
Ella had caught her breath at last next to Mitch. “Yes,” she said. “That was her locket. Your wife’s locket.”

“Caroline?” Bonnet said again, gripping the locket so tight in his insubstantial hand that its silver edges poked through where his fingers should have been.

“Did you kill her?” Ella said. She moved closer to the pirate leader’s ghost even as the others crowded around them.

“Ella,” Mitch hissed. “Take it easy. We don’t want to piss him off any more than he already is.”
