Head-Down Editing, Maybe Even Revising...

Okay, I've got the music set on shuffle, play all (just heard Alison Krauss, followed by a Pearl Jam B side -- sweet!), and I'm getting ready to do some head-down editing for a project at work. I'm hoping to do some revising to my novel over lunch, trying to add in my research notes in various points as well as tighten up the opening one last time. But before I hunker down, I wanted to share a couple things.

Like the Strange Horizons Spring 2005 Fund Drive. This has been the first time in a year or so that I've been able to doneate a bit to this fine magazine (we're not flush, financially, but I wanted to help out somehow). Great fiction, fine reviews (even if they've ignored my 2 emails asking if they wanna review my collection!), nifty art, a hard-working volunteer staff, and more. Plus, if you donate, you could win cool stuff. So go, help 'em out if you can.

I've been itching to redesign my Web site, inspired by Jay, and I've been collecting cool author sites here and there. Got any suggestions? Let me know. I'll share my list of sites when I get a bunch. And yeah, you can send me a link to YOUR site. I'd like to see it (if I haven't already).

And finally, I'm trying not to worry about the youngster, who's in his first "real" day of daycare, which isn't really daycare at all, but hanging out with Elizabeth's sister and his two cousins. I know Lizzie's really stressed about this, and she also just misses the little guy, being back at work and all. I'm more used to being away from him, as I've been back at work since late December, but it still sort of sucks. It's much more fun thinking that Drew and "his girlfriend" (Elizabeth) are hanging out together at home... Ah well. Kids -- they grow up FAST (he says with barely 4 months of Dadhood under his belt).

Okay, enough stalling -- go donate to SH, send me those Web sites, and send some good vibes to Drew and his not/daycare and Lizzie, too! Later.
